Principal, Stirling Capital Advisors, LLC

Mr. Stirling has been active in real estate acquisition, development, brokerage and operations for the past 45 years. He founded Stirling & Associates in 1981, a commercial brokerage and property management firm based in New Orleans. In 1988, he co-founded Stirling Properties, LLC which was the result of the merger of Stirling & Associates with The Maurin-Ogden Companies. Stirling Properties is a regional real estate company with investments throughout the gulf-south. He has been involved with the acquisition, development and management of over 15 million square feet of property. Although retired from the Company since 2017, He continues to serve on the Advisory Board of Stirling Properties.

Mr. Stirling’s current activities include leading the Stirling Family-Office, Stirling Capital Advisors and Malbis Plantation, Inc.

Malbis Plantation, Inc. (MPI) is a 114-year-old Company located in Baldwin County, AL. MPI is a real estate Investment, development, and Land Company of which Mr. Stirling serves as President. MPI holdings consist of, timber, office buildings, distribution & service centers, cell towers, apartments, historic properties and over 3,000 acres of land held for development. MPI is currently active in joint developing 288-unit garden apartments and an 80-acre suburban office park.

Mr. Stirling graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. He is a licensed real estate broker in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, and has received the professional designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) as well as Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX), Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) and Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS) from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He has served as an instructor at the University of Shopping Centers in Mexico City.

Mr Stirling is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) and is a Counselor of Real Estate (CRE®), The Counselor’s is an International organization of elite Real Estate thought Leaders in which membership is only achieved by invitation. He has served on the Counselor’s Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Chaired the Finance Committee and served on various other Committees in the Counselor Organization.

Mr. Stirling currently serves on the Infrastructure Advisory Board of the City of New Orleans. He has served on the Board of the French Market Corporation and was Chairman of its Real Estate Committee. He has also served as the Real Estate consultant to the Canal Street Development Corporation, a public benefit corporation owned by the City of New Orleans. Mr. Stirling is a past director of the Hancock Whitney Bank where he served on the Wealth Management Committee. He has been designated by both the Federal and State Courts as an expert witness in real estate matters.

Mr. Stirling has been active in numerous community, philanthropic, and business organizations and has served on those Boards in various Leadership positions.
