Robert J. Nahigian, FRICS, SIOR, CRE, MCR has forty years of real estate experience with thirty-one years exclusively in commercial and industrial.  Mr. Nahigian has been a counselor, broker, expert witness, investor and land developer of approximately $4.9 billion of real estate totaling 38 million square feet.  He is recognized as a national leader in his industry; a frequent speaker to international organizations and an invited column. He was appointed to the Massachusetts Real Estate Appraisal Review Board by Governor Patrick; elected to the Board of Advisors for a NYSE listed real estate firm (NERA) Brighton, Mass; and appointed by the Mass RE Licensing Commission to its Ed Subcommittee. Rob prepared a report for HUD delivered to President Carter and Congress on the state of the nation’s pubic housing stock.

Currently, Robert J. Nahigian is Principal of Auburndale Realty Co., Newton, Massachusetts. He is responsible to financial and national corporations; investment groups, wealthy individuals and corporate tenants on properties in Massachusetts, Florida, Missouri, California and Ohio totaling 18.0 million square feet and $450 million.

Previous Mr. Nahigian was Director, Office /Industrial Division, The Robbins Group, Inc., Cambridge, Massachusetts.  His duties included office and industrial park development and consulting. Such projects included a 350-acre industrial park in Taunton, Massachusetts valued at $25,000,000 with over 1.0 million square feet.

Formerly, Rob Nahigian was the Vice President, The Norwood Group, Inc., Burlington, Massachusetts.  He developed, marketed, consulted on office, industrial and retail projects in Massachusetts and Florida.  He handled a combined volume in excess of 1.0 million square feet of space and a value amount in excess of $33,000,000.

Prior, Mr. Nahigian was the City Planner and Economic Developer in Bowie, Maryland.  He authored Bowie’s first economic development report and assisted in the development of Maryland’s first Foreign Trade Zone.

Mr. Nahigian also served two years as a Planner and Technical Analyst with Perkins and Will Architectural Firm in New York City.  He consulted and co‑authored the largest public housing study for the Department of HUD, President Carter and U.S. Congress. Prior to this he served one year as a Junior Planner with the Bethlehem (PA) Redevelopment Authority and four years as a Property Manager in the Boston area.
