The Counselors of Real Estate Professional Association Announces 2016 Leadership Team

(Chicago)–December 15, 2015–The Counselors of Real Estate (CRE®), the global invitation-only professional association for the most prominent and experienced real estate advisors, has announced its 2016 Leadership roster.

James S. Lee, CRE, senior principal and co-founder of Kensington Realty Advisors, Inc., (KRA), Chicago, has assumed the role of 2016 chair of the CRE board of directors. A member of The Counselors for 22 years, he has held a wide array of service positions within the organization, including terms on committees such as Education, External Affairs, Budget and Finance, Membership and Strategic Planning. He received The Counselors’ highest service honor – the CRE Committee Service Award — in 2008.

Scott R. Muldavin, CRE, president, The Muldavin Company, San Rafael, Calif., will serve as 2016 first vice chair of the organization. In his practice, he specializes in investor strategy and organizational response to emerging risk and investment opportunities–including specialized sustainable real estate consulting. He was invited to membership in The Counselors in 1995.

Joseph G. Nahas, Jr., CRE, senior vice president, Equus Capital Partners, Ltd., Philadelphia, has been elected 2016 second vice chair of The Counselors. At Equus, Nahas is responsible for institutional capital raising and investor relations activities. He has been a member of The Counselors since 1998.

The Counselors of Real Estate®, established in 1953, is an international group of high profile professionals including members of prominent real estate, financial, legal and accounting firms as well as leaders of government and academia who provide expert, objective advice on complex real property situations and land-related matters. Membership is selective, extended by invitation only.
