Marilee Utter Nominated for 2021 Board Chair of The Counselors of Real Estate®

Marilee Utter, CRE, was nominated to become 2021 chair of The Counselors of Real Estate during the organization’s Midyear Meeting in Chicago.

(Chicago)—July 10, 2018—Marilee Utter, CRE®, has been nominated to serve as 2021 chair of The Counselors of Real Estate® professional association. Ms. Utter is president, Citiventure Associates, LLC, Denver, where she advises clients and municipalities on public/private partnerships, urban and transit-oriented development, and organizational strategy.

Invited to Counselor membership in 1996, Ms. Utter has consistently been active in the organization’s programs and initiatives. She has chaired or served on numerous committees, including strategic planning, external affairs, business issues, communications, membership development, and finance. She has also chaired the CRE Consulting Corps steering committee, a number of task forces and awards committees, served as a liaison vice chair in 2001, and serves as a trustee of The Counselors of Real Estate Foundation.

Ms. Utter holds a BA in Mathematics and French from Colorado Women’s College, an MBA from UCLA, and a certificate in state and local policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School. She was previously an executive vice president at the Urban Land Institute; transit-oriented development specialist for the Regional Transportation District (RTD) in Denver; regional vice President, Trillium Corporation; director of asset management for the City and County of Denver; and vice president, First Interstate Bank. She contributed to the book Managing Government Property Assets: International Experiences.
