A Closer Look
I am a lawyer and land use planner, a Fellow in the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, a Fellow and Past President and of the American Institute of Certified Planners, and Past Chair of the ABA Section of State and Local Government Law. I am in private practice as a solo, limited to land use, wetlands, and coastal law. I am also a writer and educator. I have published over 200 articles and 13 books, including the best-selling McGraw-Hill book, The Complete Guide to Zoning, and co-editing the leading treatise in land use law, Rathkopf’s The Law of Zoning and Planning, and for 40 years I have taught as an adjunct professor at several law schools and planning programs.
