Deborah brings more than 25 years of leadership experience consulting with clients in commercial real estate, energy management, and environmental sustainability. She has extensive experience designing, developing, implementing, and managing innovative sustainability programs in the built environment. On behalf of industry leaders, she manages large, complex projects to assist them in making strategic environmental management a standard business practice – including the Blackstone Group, MetLife, Principal Real Estate Investors, TH Real Estate, and UDR. Under her leadership, clients have achieved hundreds of millions of dollars in avoided energy costs, and consistently receive industry recognition for their leadership in sustainability. Deb has developed award-winning sustainability programs using innovative best practices, and helps clients to achieve data-driven performance results. She has also supported the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ENERGY STAR program since its inception and helped EPA to develop the business case of energy efficiency for the commercial real estate, hospitality, multifamily, industrial and public sectors. She serves on several industry boards, is a nationally recognized speaker, and has authored publications highlighting the financial impacts of strategic energy management and sustainable business practices to enhance the asset value of property. Deb began her career at the American Institute of Architects supporting the Committee on the Environment, where she had the distinct pleasure of supporting the Greening of the White House under the Clinton Administration.
