Operations, San Diego Padres [bio]
Brad Richter, Manager of Current Planning, Centre
City Development Corp.

Estate Management [bio]
It’s a “Double Header!” First, go behind-the-scenes
at PETCO Park, a Major League venue with the best sight lines in
baseball, breathtaking views of San Diego and state-of-the-art fan
amenities including a park within- the-park. Your guide will be
Mark Guglielmo, Vice President, Ballpark Operations,
San Diego Padres, with commentary by local program chair Robert
Griswold, CRE. Architecturally magnificent, it celebrates
the sea, the sky, the natural beauty, cultural diversity and unique
spirit of the region. Fan amenities are state-of-the-art, and developed
to suit every taste. Visit “Writers Row” in the press
box, learn the significance of the historic Western Metal Supply
Company Building on site and explore the Padres dugout. You’ll
leave feeling like a true MVP.
Then hear from Brad Richter, Manager of Current
Planning at the Centre City Development Corporation (CCDC) –
the public, non-profit corporation created by the City of San Diego
to implement downtown redevelopment projects. He will explain the
evolution of San Diego’s downtown, with an emphasis on the
catalytic role of PETCO Park after a long and difficult struggle
to gain the necessary consensus to build it. Walking tour maps will
be available. Formed in 1975, CCDC serves on behalf of the San Diego
Redevelopment Agency as the catalyst for public-private partnerships
to facilitate redevelopment projects adopted pursuant to redevelopment
law. Through an operating agreement, CCDC is the Agency's representative
in the development of retail, residential, office, hotel, cultural
and educational projects and public improvement projects.
Robert Griswold, CRE, of San Diego, who is a frequent
ballpark visitor, will serve as your onsite guide.

With still low interest rates and a market flush with capital,
investors are looking to commercial real estate as the ideal investment
to balance their portfolios. Some buyers are paying record-high
prices for quality properties in the top markets, and others are
starting to look to the secondary and tertiary markets, even if
the amount of risk involved is slightly increased. Where will investors
find the highest returns, and how? Panelists will take on the economy,
the capital markets and pricing metrics as they relate to the commercial
real estate investment environment, which will provide the audience
with unvarnished discussion on successful investment strategies.

that of the United States by 2027 – and Brazil's success over
the last decade resulting in the emergence of 50 million new consumers
(along with companies to service them) – all Counselors would
benefit from learning more about these markets. Are the potential
