Monday April 14
6:30 pm - 9:30 pm Evening Event: Chicago Skyline Dinner Cruise
Sponsored by the Midwest Chapter
A frequent saying in Chicago is that the best way to see the city's many architectural wonders is to see them from the water! To that end, the Monday evening event at Midyear will be a skyline dinner cruise on one of Chicago's newest cruise line -- Kanan Cruises. The private cruise will begin with a half hour reception to allow attendees to explore the vessel, or relax in the beautiful piano lounge complete with grand piano, comfortable leather sectionals, plasma screen TV's and cocktail tables around a fabulously appointed mahogany bar. Wine and appetizers will be served as guests settle in. After everyone is on board the vessel will set sail for a two and a half hour cruise along the shore of Lake Michigan with the spectacular Chicago skyline as the backdrop. A buffet dinner will be served. The vessel has four enclosed decks which are heated, with indoor and outdoor seating.

Tuesday April 15
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Evening Event: Cocktail Reception at Il Mulino Restaurant
Il Mulino is set in the historic Biggs Mansion in Chicago's elite Gold Coast. The 125 year-old building takes you back to 19th century Chicago with floor-to-ceiling bay windows, crystal chandeliers dangling from 15-foot ceilings, Italian marble fireplaces, mahogany millwork and black-tie service that makes this spot the most unique and romantic locale in Chicago. Enjoy delicious passed hor d'oeuvres from the Italian-Abruzzi region, prepared in the traditional ways - from scratch with only the best ingredients.
8:15 pm Dine-A-Round: Streeterville and Rush Street Neighborhoods
Chicago is home to some of the most renowned restaurants in the world, and was named "America's Favorite City for Food and Dining" by Travel & Leisure Magazine in 2007. Dine-A-Round restaurant choices will include classic Chicago steakhouses as well as a broad selection of international cuisines restaurants.
