The easement is a key access corridor for the public along Maui’s incredible northwestern coastline and a significant area for shorebird nesting. The area also offers gorgeous views across the Kaiwi Channel to Molokai. Guides will lead a walking tour of Hawea Point, discuss the details of the land trust and share their knowledge of the history, flora and fauna of Maui.

Buses will depart from the main entrance of the hotel beginning at 1:30 pm for a short ride to the edge of the Kapalua Resort. From there, participants will make an approximately ½ mile hike to Hawea Point. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes and don’t forget sunblock and a hat.
