What are the options for transportation between the airport and the Hotel Monteleone?

Taxis are plentiful in New Orleans and can be found outside the baggage claim area.

The rates to and from the airport are $28 for 1-2 people traveling together or $12 per person for 3 or more people. The average travel time is 20 minutes. Times provided depend on the traffic conditions and the time of day or night.


Airport Shuttles are also available as an alternative to cabs.

The Airport Shuttle meets every flight at the Louis Armstrong International Airport. You should proceed from baggage claim to the transportation center for shuttle service. It is $15.00 per person each way. This is a shared ride service.

To return to the Airport from the Hotel, the hotel concierge can assist you in making reservations via the airport shuttle. They will advise you of a time for pickup in the lobby of Hotel Monteleone.


Private sedan and stretch limousine services are available via Limolivery, their phone number is 504-561-8777. Sedan’s are roughly $86 and includes tax, gratuity and fuel charge. Limo start at $113 and includes tax, gratuity and fuel charge.

I am driving in, how do I get to the hotel and where can I park my car?

From Mississippi, Alabama, etc.:

Head I-10 West toward Baton Rouge. Exit Orleans Avenue/Vieux Carre (235A). Proceed down ramp and turn left at the light onto Orleans Avenue. Continue on Orleans Avenue under Interstate. Orleans Avenue becomes Basin Street. Continue on Orleans/Basin for .6 miles. Turn left on Conti Street. Continue six blocks (.5 miles), turn right on Decatur Street, then right on Bienville Street. You will see the garage for Hotel Monteleone on your left side approximately 2 blocks down.

From Airport, Baton Rouge, Texas, etc.:

Head I-10 East toward New Orleans Business District and Slidell. Exit Superdome/Poydras Street (Exit 234B). Proceed down ramp and continue straight for 8 blocks, staying in left hand lane. Turn left onto Camp Street and continue 4 blocks to Canal Street (a big 2-way Boulevard). Cross over Canal Street which turns into Chartres Street (in the French Quarter). Go 2 blocks on Chartres Street and turn left on Bienville Street. Halfway down the street, you will see the garage entrance for the Hotel Monteleone on the left.

Cost to park in the hotel garage is $30 a night for car's and $32 a night for SUV's or van's with unlimited in and out privileges.
