Economist Mark Zandi to Speak at New York Metropolitan Chapter Event

Kendall Serves on Panel at National Appraisal Institute Meeting
Del H. Kendall, CRE, managing director, Real Estate Research Corporation, Bellaire, Texas, spoke on a panel at the recent national Appraisal Institute meetings on “Understanding Market Trends.” The panel addressed the changes occurring among the major property types, and Kendall discussed retail (including Internet sales), industrial and apartment trends. - Del Kendall, CRE
 
Marling’s Firm Partners with RICS on Brazil Database
Jules H. Marling IV, CRE, CEO and managing principal, Capright Property Advisors, LLC, Chicago, recently announced the firm's partnership with RICS on a transaction and property information database known as SiiLA. The database provides sales and lease transactions as well as capital market indicators for office buildings, shopping centers, and logistics facilities throughout the major markets of Brazil. Counselors’ European Chapter Hosts Technical Seminar in Luxembourg
The Counselors of Real Estate’s European Chapter will present AIFMD for Real Estate: Valuation, Risk and Portfolio Management on January 30 in Luxembourg. Noah Shlaes to Lead Counselors in 2015
Noah D. Shlaes, CRE, senior managing director, Global Corporate Services, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, Chicago, is the new 2015 Chair of The Counselors of Real Estate®. He accepted the gavel from 2014 Chair Hugh F. Kelly, Ph.D., CRE at the recent CRE Annual Convention. Shlaes is widely published, authoring numerous articles on real estate topics and has served as a guest lecturer and instructor at DePaul University, Boston College, the School of the Art Institute, and for the Bulgarian government.
 
Pasquarella to Serve as National Kidney Foundation Chair
Arthur P. Pasquarella, CRE, executive vice president, COO, Equus Capital Partners, Ltd., Philadelphia, recently was elected as chair of the National Kidney Foundation for 2015-2106.
