Cicero Completes NYC Income Property Market Report
John Cicero, CRE, MAI, FRICS, of Miller Cicero, LLC, recently completed the Massey Knakal New York City Income Property Market Report for the first
half of 2007. The report is the only one of its kind, tracking cap rates, gross
income multipliers, median price-per-square-foot, and number of sales of walk-up
apartment buildings, elevator apartment buildings and mixed-use buildings in
Manhattan, northern Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens.
Launched in 2006, the report is produced on a biannual basis over a five-year
period. Paul Massey, cofounder of investment sales brokerage firm Massey
Knakal, is a newly designated CRE.

Norris Firm Named Leading Appraisal Firm
Commercial Property News magazine named Norris Realty Advisors as one of
the top 50 “Leading National Appraisal Firms” in its “best of the best” issue. Norris Realty is led by Steve Norris, CRE, who said, “On this distinguished list were the typical big firms, and despite the competition, we made the list for the first time! Ours was one of only six firms on the list located in California.”

Commercial Real Estate Index Launched
Lawrence Souza, CRE, managing director of Index Services with Charles
Schwab Investment Management of San Francisco, announced that
his firm, together with Standard & Poor’s (S&P), has launched a set of constant-
quality transaction-based commercial real estate indices, called the Standard
& Poor’s Commercial Real Estate (SPCREX) Indices. The Chicago Mercantile
Exchange (CME) began offering standardized futures and options contracts on
these indices in October.
The indices are comprised of ten commercial real estate indices, a national
composite, five geographic regions and four national property sectors that are
designed to provide investors with reliable and consistent benchmarks for
commercial real estate prices in the U.S.

Yager Honored for Service by the Texas Real Estate Commission
C. Edward Yager II, CRE, was honored by the Texas Real Estate Commission for
serving as a licensed real estate professional for more than 50 years. Yager,
founder of Yager & Company and Yager Management Corporation of Fort Worth, has been licensed since 1956. He is also a CPM Emeritus of the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Kuckley Photo Displayed
Samuel B. Kuckley, CRE, was honored by having his photograph “Tomatoes and Basil” displayed in the TIAA-CREF Art Show, which was part of the 2007 Employee Giving Campaign. This photo is the first of Kuckley’s works to be pre-qualified
by a jury for public presentation. Kuckley is the director of Appraisal Services for TIAA-CREF Asset Management.

Herd Named President of BHGLAAR
Alan A. "Scotty" Herd, CRE, FRICS, has been elected president of the Beverly
Hills/Greater Los Angeles Association of REALTORS® for 2009. The 6,300-member
association began in 1903 as the Los Angeles Realty Board, and today represents
the combined realtor associations of Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Culver City, West
Hollywood, Marina Del Rey and Beverly Hills.
