SOLOT AND DRACHMAN HONORED AS REAL ESTATE ‘LEGENDS’
Two CREs
recently were
honored by
the Southern
Arizona CCIM
Chapter as “Legends of Commercial
Real Estate:” Sanders K. Solot, CRE,
consultant appraisal review, Alliance
Bank of Arizona, Tucson; and the late Roy
P. Drachman, formerly of Tucson.
Honoring their real estate achievements,
the chapter noted that Solot, at age 16,
was the youngest person to receive an
Arizona real estate license, giving him an
early start in becoming among the mostrespected
appraisers in Tucson. The chapter
also noted that Drachman played a
critical role in convincing the Hughes
Company (now Raytheon Missile
Systems) to locate in Tucson rather than
Phoenix or Albuquerque, in 1951. The
event was featured in the March edition of
Inside Tucson Business, and can be viewed
at www.InsideTucsonBusiness.com.
